Passion, high expressiveness and expanding the expressive possibilities of the harpsichord have increasingly drawn the attention of the international press to the Latvian harpsichordist Tatjana Vorobjova in recent years.

In August 2023 she made her Solo Debut Harpsichord Recital at the Utrecht Early Music Festival.

"... The exceptional harpsichordist Tatjana Vorobjova from Riga must definitely be mentioned. Supported by the stunningly present recording technique of the SACD, she makes the music shine effortlessly with just as much fire as sensitivity." – wrote Concerto magazine already about her debut CD release “Joh. Chr. Bach – W.A. Mozart – Concertante Werke – Mozart´s early harpsichord concertos KV 107” in 2006.

Passionate interest in early music and playing the harpsichord led her to study the harpsichord in Oslo and Cologne with Prof. Ketil Haugsand (graduation with distinction) and at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Hermann Stinders (Master of Music). She received additional inspiration from master classes with Robert Hill, Bob van Asperen, Frédérick Haas and Jesper Christensen.

Her special concern is a sonorous, dynamic, lively and finely nuanced interpretation, aiming to reach a maximum of dynamic potential of the harpsichord.

Tatjana Vorobjova lives and works as a freelance harpsichordist in the area of Cologne (Germany). Concerts have taken her to the Cologne Philharmony, the Konzerthaus Berlin and many concert halls in Germany, Belgium, England, France, Italy,  Switzerland and Latvia. As a sought-after continuo harpsichordist, she plays regularly with the chamber orchestra "Sinfonietta Köln", the "Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester" and the baroque orchestra "Consortium Musica Sacra Köln".
In 2017 she initiated her own harpsichord class at the city music school in Leverkusen in order to pass on her love of harpsichord music to her pupils and students.
With her ensemble "Le Parnasse Musical" she recorded a critically acclaimed CD with works by Joh. Christian Bach and W.A. Mozart.

Her solo CD "Cembalo cantabile" was released by "Amati" in 2016 with excellent feedback from the "American Record Guide" and “Toccata actuell”.

“…Vorobjova´s effortless technique and sense of joy makes for an engrossing hour plus of listening. She employ a subtle rubato tempo that enhances lyricism of the music and creates the illusion of dynamic variation. This superb new Scarlatti recital, with its celebration of the poetic nature…of Scarlatti sonatas” (Peter Burwasser)
